Christian Theater & Dance - What Sets It Apart
As a Christian studio, we offer dance and theater with a higher purpose. All of our payrolled staff are Christians. You will find that some of our volunteers are not, as we welcome everyone who respects our mission statement. We incorporate prayer and/or devotion time into every rehearsal and show, and starting in January 2027, we will begin to offer optional chapel services for prayer, worship, and learning more about God. If you have questions about this, ask us - we are happy to chat!
As a Christian organization, we expect everyone to act with responsibility and kindness. We understand that bad moods happen, but we do not tolerate "diva" attitudes or gossiping/tearing down fellow participants or staff. We encourage participants to follow the model of Matthew 18:15 when conflict arises: work out the issue privately between the two in question, then bring it to leadership if it isn't resolved.
We consider conduct at rehearsals and performances part of your future auditions. Gossip, slander, and a "better than you" attitude are not welcome in our environment.
Keeping it G-Rated
Our ministry welcomes everyone, and with that comes a diverse array of beliefs and backgrounds. Our focus is Christ, and if that's not yours, that's okay! But just as you wouldn't go to a pizza parlor for sushi, you are walking into an organization serving God, and we respectfully ask you not to work against that. All participants and leaders are asked to leave political and divisive conversations, apparel, and items at the door. This is a safe place for all, and it includes many different viewpoints. Please keep language clean, and refrain from "PDA" if you are in a relationship with another cast member. We get that showmances happen - but we like to keep the drama onstage, not off :)

Our complete dress code can be found here., but here's a cheat sheet:
Hair pulled into bun or ponytail (dance classes & theater dance rehearsals)
No midriff tops
No super short shorts (if your pockets stick out, that's too short)
No t-shirts or other items that share violence, inappropriate speech, or a political or sexual stance.
Leotard under clothing for children's and teen dance classes, and theater dance days.
If your clothing limits your range of movement or does not follow the guidelines above, we will provide a loaner shirt. Please wear appropriate shoes - either your dance shoes, performance shoes, or clean shoes that can be removed before entering dance floor areas.

Auditions & Rehearsals are Closed and Focused
All of our teachers and directors reserve the right to ban phones from rehearsals if they become a distraction. All rehearsals are closed to parents and other visitors, unless express permission has been given or they are there as a designated volunteer. You can always reach us during rehearsal by sending a private message via BAND, and we will always allow young participants access to their phones or one of ours if there is an emergency or a need to reach you.
Auditions are always closed to spectators unless prior special arrangements are made.
Show up!
Our staff goes through intense scheduling gymnastics to accommodate conflicts listed on audition forms. Our dance teachers plan their class curriculum with all students in mind. If you are absent, we cannot backtrack because of the fast-paced nature of our shows and classes. It is possible that you will be removed from a dance or scene, or asked to play a different role if you are not present at your assigned rehearsals.
Big Mood Bracelets
At every class & rehearsal, you are welcome to grab a Big Mood bracelet. Green = you're feeling great and have something happy you'd like to share with the group. Yellow = you could use a little encouragement today and are okay with hugs. Red = you are having a MOOD and would prefer to be left alone. Please also choose a red bracelet if you prefer to not be physically touched (hugs, high fives, etc).
